Light and Healing
Good health is something most people highly value. If we want to maintain or attain it, here are some things to think about and some practical steps to take.First and foremost, it is important to pay attention to what we create through our thoughts. Healing involves much more than just the physical body. It begins on a soul level when we decide that we want to be healed and are receptive to it.
The second step is to review our thoughts, feelings and actions in order to discern how these may be affecting our health. Our thoughts emit vibrational frequencies that affect us and others in the energy field in positive or adverse ways, thus it is important to be aware of what our mind inadvertently creates.
Third step: go deeper. Illness can be viewed as a friend that alerts us to pay attention to how our choices impact our lives. Reflection can help us unravel and discover the root cause of an imbalance that is manifesting as an illness. Are we in harmony in our relationships and with our work? How do we spend our leisure time and what do we consume? Do we exercise and take care of our bodies? What shall we do to regain balance in our lives? Sometimes pain and discomfort prompt us to take steps to improve our health and we initiate the healing process. Part of this process can be to request healing from a healing group such as Our Light Heals.
Fourth step: check the stressors. Illness results when our immune system has been unduly weakened and our energy dissipates, lowering our resistance. It is helpful to examine the ways that we let ourselves get stressed and to observe how we react to stress. We are affected by the mental, emotional and physical states that we create with our reactions. Beginning with the premise that we are body, mind, heart, and spirit, it is the physical body, which is the most dense, that often reflects an imbalance.
Fifth step: assume responsibility. Health is about assuming responsibility for our wellbeing. Asking for help is an important step, because in so doing we reaffirm that we want to enjoy good health, but it is also important to do what is in our power to improve our health.
The first step, as mentioned before, can be as simple as truly wanting to be healed.
Healing is a co-creative process that begins from within. When we take the first step towards healing, which is making the decision to think and act in ways that are conducive to health and harmony (and following through) our body’s innate ability to heal is activated. It is like turning the mind channel to the inner Health Channel, which lets our body-mind know that we truly wish, are ready for, and will do what is needed to improve our health. This positive message is sent to the tens of millions of cells in our body, vibrationally turning the light on in each one of our cells. Our body’s innate wisdom and ability to heal is set into motion. Often it is a matter of allowing our bodies and minds the opportunity to heal by resting and relaxing. In other cases, more activity is required.
Our sincere desire to be healed makes us more receptive to the divine blessings that come to us through the participation of people we know (friends, relatives) and those we don’t know (such as via OLH) who have a sincere intention to help heal.
