Light and Healing
Praying for those wanting to be healed is a simple process. The most important thing is to have the sincere and clear intention to help others heal. Our thoughts and prayers emanate vibrational frequencies that connect us with those around the globe who are emanating the same frequencies, like tuning into the same radio channel. By focusing on the photos and/or names of those requesting healing and requesting their healing and visualizing them as healed, we attune to the power of healing and transformation existent in the cosmos and within each one of us.
Much research has been done on the power of prayer in the healing process. Lynn McTaggart’s book, The Intention Experiment, provides many documented studies. Our Light Heals is a vehicle to help people heal through the power of intention generated by prayer.
The following technique was developed by Lynn McTaggart based on extensive research that she documented in The Intention Experiment.
If you are sending healing to someone, first try to put yourself in his situation. Imagine what it is like to be him and to be faced with his current crisis. Try to feel and have empathy for your receiver’s suffering. Ask yourself how you would feel if you were suffering in this manner and how you would most want to be healed.
Now, direct your thoughts to the object of your intention. (If the person is present, hold his or her hand.)
Create a picture in your mind’s eye of the desired result. Imagine it as already existing, with you in that situation.
Examples: “Mary Jane’s lungs are 100% healthy. She is free of suffering,” or, for self-healing, “My ……. is 100% healthy. I am free of suffering.”
The Key: Being One with the Universe
In studies of meditation, mediumship, and healing, people who are successful at intention imagine themselves and the person receiving healing as one with the universe. In your meditative state, enter into a zone where you relax your sense of “I” and you sense a merging with the object of your intention and the Field. Frame your intention, state it clearly, and then let go of the outcome. At this point, you may sense that the intention is taken over by some greater force. Close your internal meditation with a request and then move your own ego aside. Remember: this “power” does not originate with you – you are its conduit. Think of it as a request you are sending to the universe. Lynn McTaggart
